Edible Planet

As summer ripens, we are reminded once again that the Earth, perhaps alone in the Solar System, is a really good place to eat. Certain people live for the fruits of our little planet—savoring them, obsessing over them, analyzing them, dreaming up new ways to serve them. We have alumni like that. Here, in honor of the season, is a bumper crop of articles by, or about, our far-flung epicures. Like all the finer establishments, we’ve saved the cheese course for last. Bon appétit.
