Fresh Talent

Forbes magazine is calling its fourth annual “30 Under 30” list “today’s greatest gathering of young game changers, movers, and makers.” It celebrates six hundred millennials—thirty from each of twenty fields—and Tufts is well represented. Abena Agyemang, A07, who once endured a three-hour daily commute to school, made the cut for her efforts to ensure that no one else suffers the same fate. As national director of school partnerships at Families for Excellent Public Schools, she helps people advocate for better schools in their communities. Danielle Weisberg, A08, was recognized for cofounding theSkimm, a daily email newsletter that briefs readers on current events. Scott Travers, A07, a vice president with JPMorgan Chase who co-manages a $9 billion portfolio, was on the roster of those making their mark in the world of finance, and Jon Freeman, A09, G12, an assistant professor of psychology at New York University, was acknowledged for developing computer software that measures the snap judgments people make upon seeing someone’s face. Among the findings so far: your mental image of a face is a compromise between how you expect it to look and how it actually looks.
