Global Mentoring

Pradeep Kapadia, E78, has never claimed to be going it alone. He knows that his success—first as a college student from India and then as the founder of Kapadia Energy Services, an engineering and contracting firm with offices in New York and California—would never have been possible without the support of family, friends, and mentors. And now he is helping to extend that same kind of support to others all over the world. His Kapadia Educational Foundation seeks out students in developing countries who are working toward a professional, scientific, or technical career and pairs them with sponsors, who donate funds toward their college education, and mentors, who offer advice, a listening ear, or whatever else might be useful. All seventy-five students who have gone through the program so far have graduated, and the thirty-nine students currently in it show every sign of following suit.
